Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your ConfessReels account and what happens when you do.

Option 1: Delete from the App
  1. Open the ConfessReels app
  2. Go to the Profile tab
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm by tapping Delete Forever
Option 2: Request via Email

If you can't access the app, send an email to support@confessreels.com with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 72 hours.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your account and login credentials
  • Your anonymous identity (anon ID)
  • Your block and mute lists
  • Your email address and account profile data

What May Be Retained

  • Posts and comments you made will be anonymized (author removed) but may remain visible to preserve conversation threads
  • Reports you filed may be retained for safety purposes (without your identifying information)
  • We may retain minimal data as required by law (e.g., abuse reports filed with authorities)

Timeline

Account deletion is processed immediately when done from the app. Email requests are processed within 72 hours. After deletion, your data cannot be recovered.

This action is permanent. Once your account is deleted, it cannot be recovered. Make sure you want to proceed before confirming.
